The purpose of National Stress Awareness Month is to raise awareness of stress and to hopefully help people to consider the stress that they have in their own lives, its causes, and if and how this can be managed.
Here at Recovery College Online, we have information on stress on our main website, which you can access via the following link: What is stress? – Recovery College Online.
You can also simply type the word ‘stress’ into the search bar at the top of the homepage, and all of our information pages relating to stress will be displayed.
We also have an ‘Exploring Stress’ course, which looks at what stress is, the physical and psychological impact of the stress response, the stress vulnerability bucket model, basic coping theory, everyday ways of coping, how genetics and the environment influence our vulnerability to stress, and what can help when dealing with stress.
