This course is for children and young people of any age. It looks at the acronym CHIME. This stands for Connectedness, Hope, Identity, Meaning and Empowerment. It explains what they are and how they are useful aspects of life with some practical ideas for strengthening them.
This course is designed to help and support you along your recovery journey. It’s based on feedback given by students and experts.
Recovery is a challenging journey and is an entirely individual experience, what works for one person may not work for the next. It is not always about a ‘cure’ or having no symptoms, it is about improving your wellbeing and allowing you to take some control back over your life.
When you are logged into your Recovery College Online account, and have marked each page of this course as complete, you will have access to a personalised certificate. You can find this by going to ‘your account’ and looking for the certificate icon next to the name of the course you have done.
If you are under 13 years of age, you will be unable to create an online Recovery College Online account of your own to access a certificate. We have created a link for you to download a certificate which you can then personalise yourself. You can find this at the end of this course.
This course is designed for educational and informational purposes only. It does not provide therapy, medical advice or professional support. If you need crisis support, please contact local mental health services, your GP or telephone 111 or the emergency services on 999.
