Since the COVID-19 pandemic more of us are working remotely at home, socialising, shopping and educating our children online, which makes it more important than ever that we do everything we can to stay safe online including looking after our wellbeing.

This course will give you information about the general principles of staying safe online, using social media to connect with others, how to make the most of your time online including looking after your wellbeing and supporting children and young people online.

Please note: Recovery College Online does not endorse any particular online service, including those listed in this course.

This course will take approximately 1 to 2 hours to complete, but this timing will depend on how fast you read and how long you spend on the activities and reflective questions. You do not need to complete the whole course in one go. If you leave and come back to the course, it will remember where you got up to.

About the course

This course is for education and information only. It does not provide therapy, medical advice or professional support. If you need crisis support, please contact local mental health services, your GP or telephone 111 or the emergency services.
