What is Recovery College Online?
Recovery College Online (RCO) is a website that offers free information, resources, and E-Learning. They cover a wide range of mental health and wellbeing topics. We are provided by Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust, which is an NHS mental health trust covering parts of North Yorkshire and North East England.

How can I access Recovery College Online E-Learning?
Along the headings bar on the homepage, click ‘Courses’, where you will be taken to the E-Learning. Here you can browse all of the courses we have on offer. Each course includes a description, course duration, and the number of lessons. You will need to create a free online account to complete the courses. However, some courses can be completed without an account, which are the ones aimed at younger children.
How do I create an account to complete the courses?
At the top of the homepage there is a button saying ‘Login/Register’. This will take you to the page to sign up for a free account. Alternatively, you can access the ‘Login/Register’ page using this link.
Who is Recovery College Online for?
Everyone! Although we have information and E-Learning tailored for specific groups. Such as children and young people, parents and carers, teachers, and adults in the general population. Absolutely anyone can use the information and online courses on our website.
Is a referral needed?
No, you do not need a referral to access our website, including signing up for a free online account.
How much do the courses cost?
All our courses and resources are free to access.

I’ve forgotten my password
If you have forgotten your password, please use the ‘lost your password’ button underneath the login box on the login page. If this still isn’t working, please get in touch using the ‘Contact us’ page.

If you have forgotten your username, you can log in using your email address instead or you can click the ‘lost your password’ button. This will send you a reminder of your username as well as a password reset link.
On the other hand, if you have multiple email addresses and are unsure which you used to sign up to our website, you can log in using your username. You can then go into ‘your account’, then ‘edit profile’ and see which email you used.
I can’t access my account
If your problem isn’t because you’ve forgotten your password, try resetting your password as we have mentioned above. If this does not work please use the ‘Contact us’ page.

If your email address has changed you will need to change the email address linked to your online account. If you do not change this and forget your password, you will be unable to access your account. So, you will need to create a new one. To change your email address, go to ‘your account’ when logged into the website, then click ‘edit profile’. You can then change your email address.
There’s a problem with the course I’m completing

If you would like to delete your account, go to your account when logged into the website. Then ‘edit profile’ and click ‘delete your account’. You will be asked if you are sure you want to delete your account. You must confirm ‘delete’ to do this.

Go to ‘Log In/Register’ at the top of the website page and input your login details. Once you are logged in, click ‘Your account’ at the top of the page. For courses you have completed, there will be a certificate icon next to the word ‘Complete’. Clicking this will open your certificate. Please note you need an online account to be assigned a certificate.

Recovery College Online does not provide individual clinical support or treatment, or have the ability to respond to messages of a personal nature. We are an online information resource and e-learning platform. We can only respond to queries related to the use of our site.
If you feel like you are struggling with your mental health we would recommend speaking with your GP, or your care team if you have one.
If this is happening outside of standard working hours, we would recommend using the NHS 111 service or contacting your local crisis service.
