This course provides an introduction to Making Every Contact Count (MECC) which is an approach to behaviour change that utilises the millions of day to day interactions that organisations and people have with other people to encourage changes in behaviour that have a positive effect on the health and wellbeing of individuals, communities and populations.
Gateshead Public Health along with Northumbria Healthcare Trust developed and delivered a MECC Train the Trainer programme. The training programme was devised to assist in the embedding of a positive culture across the North East and North Cumbria ICS region, which would allow for the implementation of Making Every Contact Count principles in work across all sectors.
This course is aimed at anyone who has contact with the general public and anyone who is interested in nding out more about MECC. It will take approximately 30 to 45 minutes to complete, but this timing will depend on how fast you read and how long you spend on any activities. You do not need to complete the whole course in one go. If you leave and come back to the course it will remember where you got up to.
