Information and Support

Autism awareness and understanding is growing; however, you may need to explain to others what support you might need. Autistic people display a diverse range of strengths such as long-term memory skills, attention to detail, logical thinking and the ability to focus intensely for long periods. However, like everyone, autistic people also face many challenges, so it is helpful to be aware of support available and for others to consider and assist in making reasonable adjustments.

You can find more information about autism from those with lived experience, which may help with your own sense of identify and what being autistic means to you from the following suggestions. This list is also in the resources tab of this course.
