This course talks about:

  • Negative thoughts.
  • Negative self-talk (the inner critic).
  • The link between negative thoughts and suicidal thoughts.
  • Things that can help people to deal with negative thoughts.
  • Therapies which can help a person manage their negative thoughts.

This course will take around two hours to do depending on how long it takes you to read and do any tasks. You don’t need to do the course in one go. If you leave and come back to the course, it will remember where you got up to.

Recovery College Online, Peter Swan (a Peer Trainer at ARCH Recovery College in Durham, UK), and an NHS consultant clinical psychologist working in adult mental health all contributed to the development of this course.
