Get Started

This course is for young people aged 13 to 18 years old. It looks at moving forward after difficult times. This idea is known as building resilience. This word might seem difficult to understand, and it might not be something you have heard of before. This course will talk about what it means and how building your own resilience can be helpful for your wellbeing.

By the end of this course, you will know more about:

  • What resilience is.
  • Examples of how some people view resilience.
  • Your own resilience.
  • Ways to build resilience.
  • How to build positive relationships with family, friends and other people to help you become more resilient.

How long might the course take?

Lots of people finish this course in about one to one and a half hours, but we all learn at different speeds. You can go as slowly as you need, take breaks, or even come back another day, as the computer will save where you get up to.

Professionals who support people to move forward after difficult times provided information which we used to write this course.

The course was last updated March 2026.
