Heart Variability

Tuesday 22nd September, 1pm-2pm

The Trust is exploring Heart Rate Variability which is defined by the time variation between two consecutive heartbeats. The variation is influenced by our Autonomic Nervous System and is used in a wide range of settings, including professional sport, where athletes can monitor the effectiveness of the training and measure burnout and or health conscious individuals who want to understand the functioning of their body and in particular see the effects on different practices on autonomic balance.

This workshop will explore what heart rate variability is and how it can be used as a resource to learn more about our own body and the tools we have to help us overcome difficult experiences. It is an opportunity to look at what the Trust is doing in this area, test latest technology and to give your feedback and share your views.

Myers Briggs

Thursday 24th September, 11am-12noon (session 2 of 14)

Myers Briggs Type Indicator is the most popular personality test in the world and is taken by over a million people every year. It is used by all the top 100 FTSE registered companies in Britain to build teams and grow talent. Katherine Cook Briggs and her daughter, Isabel Briggs Myers developed this in the 1930s based on Jungian theory.

This course will look at the various personality characteristics and how they affect the way we think, act and perceive the world, and the gifts they can bring. ‘We see the world not as it is, but as we are’ (the Talmud).
