As we know, mental health problems can affect anyone, at any time. World Mental Health Day on 10th October is a day to acknowledge this more so than ever and to start looking after your own wellbeing, as well as the wellbeing of others.
This year, 2020, has had a huge impact on us all – the months of lockdown, the isolation and separation from family, friends and community, and the loss so many have suffered. Looking after yours and other people’s mental health has never been more important than it is now.
How can you help? You can send a text to let someone know you’re thinking of them, smile at a stranger when you walk by in the street, listen when someone needs an ear. Be kind.
Take care of your own wellbeing too, by taking time out for you, by doing something you enjoy, read that book you’ve not yet finished.
Here at Recovery College Online, we have a huge variety of courses to help you learn more about mental health and wellbeing, take a look: https://lms.recoverycollegeonline.co.uk/
