Introduction

Course aims

The main aim of this course is to raise awareness of what delirium is and to help people to deal with it. Delirium often goes unrecognised and can be especially difficult to identify in those with pre-existing health conditions, including mental health issues.

We hope that by the end of this course you will have:

  • An awareness of what delirium is.
  • Explored why we need to know about delirium.
  • Considered the causes and signs of delirium.
  • Identified ways you can help someone to deal with delirium.
  • Further information and resources that you can refer to about delirium.
