- Exercise.
- Eat healthily.
- Getting plenty of sleep.
Being brave or resilient is when you are able to do something, even when you don’t feel like you can.

More ideas about developing resilience
Things don’t always go the way we want. Sometimes things will not go our way, but we will be okay.
No one is perfect. We all make mistakes and we can learn from them.
We all have our strengths and are better at somethings than others.
Most disappointments are temporary and will become less important to us with time.
Most problems only affect a small part of our lives. We still have other skills, other friends and other things to look forward to.
In or out of my control?
It can be helpful to think about the things we can change and the things we cannot change.
Think of a rock
As you think about a rock, answer the following questions:
- Can you squeeze the rock?
- Can you bend the rock?
- Are you able to change the rock at all?
Think of play dough
When we think about things changing and feel worried or stressed, we can stop and think about the rock and the play dough.
Can you think of what things are like the rock and cannot be changed?
Now have a think about what things are like the play dough and can be changed?
Rocks (What cannot be changed)
- What other people do or say.
- Going to school.
- The News.
- Having to do homework.
- What you look like.

- How I treat others.
- My attitude.
- How well I do my school work.
- What I watch on TV or the computer.
- Taking part in physical activity.
- Doing fun things.
