Being resilient

Coping when things happen to you

Video

Watch this video on YouTube about a girl called Scarlett and how she has been resilient.

The video about Scarlett shows how she was brave and resilient after she had to have her leg removed. Lots of children have to deal with difficult things which no-one else can see, but are just as important, even if they can’t be seen.

When you get older, there’s more you can do to help yourself be more brave and resilient, but for now, the best thing you can do is talk to someone and ask for help.

Read and think about the questions below:

  1. Who could you go to for help?
  2. Could you talk to your teacher or someone at home?
