Feelings and health

What about how we are feeling? Is that just as important as how fit and active we are.  Yes. Our feelings and our health are connected to each other.

If we are ill, it might make us feel… 

  • Sad?
  • Happy?
  • Fed up?

(Probably sad and fed up.)

If we are worried, it might give us…

  • Tummy ache?
  • A headache?

(One or both of these.)

How we feel and think is part of our health. Sometimes feelings are called emotions.

What do they look like?

What does an angry face look like?

What sound might it make? 

An angry face is often darker. The mouth may be showing teeth. The voice may also be louder and sharper. 

A sad face.

What does a sad face look like?

What sound might it make? 

A sad face often has a mouth that goes down. There may also be tears and the sound of sobbing.

What does a scared face look like?

What sound might it make?

A scared face may have wide eyes and an open mouth. There might be the sound of stuttering, yelling or crying.

What sound might it make?

A happy face may have a smile. The voice may sound higher. There may even be singing!
